Tuesday, Feb 18 is the ONE AND ONLY opportunity for public comment on our school budget before the Board of Finance. This same board has significantly cut our Board of Education-approved school budget for the past two years.
The final vote isn’t until March, but tomorrow is your ONLY chance to be heard!
Tuesday, February 18
7:00 PM
NEW LOCATION: Conference Room A, Parsons Government Center**
(Not at City Hall as in previous years)
Now is the time to:
SUPPORT our kids and teachers
SAFEGUARD our district’s progress
PREVENT another round of budget cuts
The Board of Education has presented a responsible budget that maintains our educational standards while finding over $645,000 in savings.
The BOE adopted 4.87% budget increase maintains existing programs and covers unavoidable costs due to inflation, contractual obligations, and reductions in federal funding – no new programs, no frills, just the basics our schools need to keep running.
But we need your voice to help protect it. Your presence matters – whether you speak or simply stand in support.
